About Me

My name is Valeska. I'm freelance Photographer based in Surrey, South-East England. As well as a student, studying Digital Photography at Ravensbourne.



I have been doing photography since 2011. I've always wanted to get up close to the action at various events, whether it's at the Goodwood's Festival of Speed or a Wedding. I'm extremely interested in the sport industry mainly in motorsport and action sport as my dad works for McLaren, giving me the love for speed, bikes and cars. I've always wanted the chance to cover and capture any type of mortorsport and action sport event, as it focus' on my passion for the sport industry. It's an amazing feeling when I get a range of shots, and capture a wide variety of vehicles on show, from the amazing futuristic cars to the FMX riders in action.

I've always had a great passion for sport but it was just over the past few years that I decided to take up photography and later realised I'm quite good at it. I've been going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the past 5 years and each year I am more amazed. I've also been to Goodwood Revial, a Downhill Mountain Biking event as well as getting a variety of shots at the Silverstone Classic Cars event in 2011. I've also covered the Bolddogs at an event in Yarmouth in August 2012. I visited the McLaren Employee Motor Show in 2012 and got some awesome shots from that which is up on my Facebook page. I am always up for advancing my photography skills, learning new techniques anywhere I can.

I have found another love in Wedding Photography, as it's such a romantic and memorable day. I love capturing the emotions, atmosphere and the expressions on peoples faces. Being pushed and challenged with every Wedding, as none are the same. Covering wedding events enables me to think about new aspects, possibly skills and techniques I can apply towards sports photography.

I've been trying to gain as much experience as I can. I want to advance my portfolio showing people what I can do and what I have learnt over the years doing what I love.
